The two little girls from Weston, Ontario, always
enjoyed playing together, whether with dolls or
skipping or painting. “If a job’s worth doing, it’s
worth doing right,” they often heard their father
say. With the guidance of their mother’s creativity
and their father’s diligence, they experimented in
many crafts. When they learned the art of
bookmaking as adults, they realized that their
breadth of knowledge of hand working all came
together and offered a sense of fulfillment.
Beverley and Norma are now mothers and grandmothers living in the Ottawa Valley,, and are pleased to be using their talents to create heirloom books for others…. family memories that will be enjoyed by future generations.
They still love “playing” together.
